“The essence of philosophy is that a man should so live that his happiness shall depend as little as possible on external things.”  Epictetus

Upcoming events:

  • Sunday, July 9: 2:00- 4:00 pm: Non-Fiction Readers Book Discussion Group, meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month. New discussion participants always welcomed! Please join us at the Huntsville Public Library on Monroe Street in Huntsville, room A/B (to the right of the lobby).

This month book is “This is Our Fight: The Battle to Save America’s Middle Class” by Elizabeth Warren, the senior senator from Massachusetts. As one review states: “Girded for battle, the senior senator from Massachusetts forcefully lays out the bleak picture of an American government increasingly controlled by corporate greed and special interests…. The author sounds the alarm that an oligarchy is in the making, and her urgency is palpable and necessary. Inspiring words to empower Warren’s marching army.”–Kirkus (starred review)

Come to enjoy some snacks
