Monthly Discussion meeting – we are meeting at the Huntsville Public Library on Monroe Street in Huntsville, in room A/B (to the right of the lobby).
We begin with introductions and announcements, reading, an update on our participation with Alabama Arise, then our topic. Suggested topics: Civil Forfeiture (our recommended issue for Alabama Arise); Justice from a Humanist perspective; topic generated from outrage of the week?
The discussion is from 2:00 to 3:15 pm.
Update on Business Meeting from 3:15 to 3:30: Updates on becoming a formal organization.
NOTE: reply if you would like to be included in an Alabama Arise issue working group or if you would like to participate in developing and maintaining a formal chapter structure. These meetings can be held informally at private homes or coffee shops or other eating establishments.

Philosophy Café. *** New Location *** Open discussion on philosophical topics continues on the fourth Monday of each month. This month we are meeting at KEEGAN’S OF HUNTSVILLE, 200 West Side Square, Suite 60, Huntsville, AL 35801. Non-Fiction Readers Book Discussion Group, meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month. New discussion participants always welcomed! Please join us at the Huntsville Public Library on Monroe Street in Huntsville, room A/B (to the right of the lobby). This month selection is “NATURE’S GOD: The Heretical Origins of the American Republic” by Matthew Stuart. Since this is a thick volume, the first 4 chapters will be discussed.
